The TVG Community team is proud to announce a new program for our most active users: The Turf Club. This program is designed to recognize Community members who are very active, positive, constructive, helpful users; to reward them for their participation; and to elicit continued constructive, helpful contributions.

Eligibility for Turf Club membership will be evaluated on a monthly basis. Members will be eligible for this program according to the following criteria:

  • Approximately 45 weekly posts on average
  • Approximately 20 weekly kudos received on average
  • Approximately 1600 minutes per week on the site
  • Continuous levels of such activity as described above (re-evaluation of Turf Club member activity will occur quarterly)
  • Quality contributions of a constructive manner
  • Appropriate behavior, including the lack of reprimands, warnings and/or bans from TVG Community staff
  • While all of the above aspects come into play, final selection is determined solely by the TVG Community Team

The TVG Community Turf Club members will set an example to the community as constructive, helpful members who help the community grow and prosper.

Not being a "Turf Club" member, I understand that I am unable to post in the T-Club. However, is there a way I can read it??? I don't see a listing for it. Is a list of members available? Assuming that non-members are able to read T-Club posts, is it possible for non-members to give kudos to TC posts, and is there some OTHER place where non-members can posts comments on TC posts???

I certainly have no intention of irrationally "bashing" any members---no matter of what level--, but I would like to be able to read what is being said by TC posters in the TC. I would find lack of such access to be pretty aggravating. I also would hate to see TC members posting what may well be "better" posts in the TC to the exclusion of the other sites. It seems to me that this would probably lead to some down-grading of the regular community sites, and that could be a very detrimental to the community in general.

I can see some advantages and disadvantages to having "The Turf Club" depending on how it is set up to function. Obviously, I'd like to see some further, detailed explanations. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Good Fortune,

I think having the Turf Club is not a good idea.  I liked it better the way it was and it was more fair to everybody.  Because some people are not able to post for long periods of time due to time constraints.  They have other things to do.  Having the Turf Club makes other members feel inferior
