A Rachel what if????????????

If Zardana had not raced and Rachel would have beaten the rest of the field by the same 11 length margin would she still not be in shape or  would her fans be crowing from the rooftops.  She is a great horse but Zenyatta may be one of the greatest of all time.  Personally Ithink they should retire Zenyatta before an injury happens but fan or no fan you have to love to watch her race and love her after the race even more.  She is a horse with a personality that even losing wouldn"t diminish.

Re: A Rachel what if????????????

Well, Zenyatta is the greatest older female of all time, but still has a long way to go for the best of all time.

As I've noted, if you watch the race without Zardana, Rachel does what she usually does. Stalks the pace, blows by, and wins easily. She still should get a bit of a break. Here would be a good campaign from this point forward:

La Troienne

Stephen Foster

Delaware Handicap

Woodward Stakes

Jockey Club Gold Cup

BC Classic.

PS- I'd be pretty excited about her, but I still could be skeptical after watching the replay.

I would love to see Zenyatta and Rachel meet up in the Stephen Foster.  I still believe Zenyatta should ship to Churchill for her next race after the Apple Blossom, I would like to see her run there at least once before the BC.

If those are handicap races. wouldn't Zenyatta have to spot Rachel a whole lot more weight now than she would have if she had won? Thinking some funny things now..don't think Rach can beat Z at equal or about equal weights, 1 to 4 pounds. I can just see Z having to give her 10 or 12 pounds. Doubt seriously theyll meet now in any handicap race. I wonder.....
