I don't have a prob with anyone here, and when things get heated, I just move on to the next post. I try to come here to enjoy myself, not to get into it with anyone. I know that there will be disagreements, but as long as they stay mature, and respectful, i don't have a prob with that.

That's a question that can't really be answered. The most likely answer is no, for in any large group setting there will be arguments, cliques, and disagreements. I know I personally have a problem with butting into issues that I really have no part in and giving my opinion, even when I know I should really just ignore it. However, when I do I try to make my case in a logical and mature way. What this community's issues have shown me, personally, is that adults in general aren't as mature as I'd like to think, and that people get brave when hiding behind the mask of a username.

Anyway, I don't have major issues with anyone here. There are those that I prefer talking to, and those that I respect, and even those that annoy me to no end. They all have their place here. If there is one lesson I've learned in my 16 years, it's never to hate. I've told the story before of the closest I came to hating someone, so I won't go into that, but that's the most important thing I've learned in life thus far. Forgive, but never forget. Dislike, but never hate. And, most specifically, never assume that you'll have tomorrow to make things better, because tomorrow may never come.

In all honesty I do think we respect most community members.. some are just way off base it is kind of crazy.. I do not need to mention names..(err JK) I think that what most of us have in common is the love for this game.. and this game more than any is made up of very opinionated people that we cant help but disagree at some point in time.. after all we are betting against each other... THAT IS WHAT MAKES THIS GAME SO GREAT..... 75 PERCENT OF THE TIME I AM GOING TO BE PLAYING AGAINST YOU AND EVERY OTHER JOE OUT THERE.... AND WHEN I M RIGHT, I AM GOING TO POUND MY CHEST AND LET YOU KNOW I WAS RIGHT.. THAT IS THE BEST PART ABOUT THIS GAME.. WELL THAT AND THE MONEY YOU CAN MAKE ALONG THE WAY......JM2C

I kudoed Brad b/c we are like those scotch on the rocks on Christmas Day families. We will storm away for awhile, but come back for more. And there is always that relative that has the right tone of voice for you. Our topics are so much more interesting than college sports and fake muscle baseball. Now, heavyweight boxing, there is a dead sport that was once co-king along side ours.

I don't think we as a community are giving ourselves enough credit. Considering there are over 10.000 members the number of heated debates that get out of hand is very small. In many cases another member will wade in and try to slow things down before they get out of hand. Also the Mod" have done a good job removing those who only bash. This new lady Mod doesn't put up with any bleep and reacts quickly when someone crosses the line. It's just my opinion but I think things are on the improve in the community. I remember a few weeks ago there were very few posts being made because almost every post was being attacked and the subject of the posts got lost quickly. Over the past weekend, even with the heated debates about RA and Zen, I didn't see a lot of foul language or name calling. There were a few ridiculous statements but those can never be totally eliminated. I'm gratefull for the overall improvements I've seen in the community.

You are correct Sir. I hope I meet the lady moderator under the right circumstances. I judged a high school debate last fall where two ladies were over the top with attacks and I settled things at the next time interval. Debate ended beautifully through facts and eloquence. Horse racing should be a wee bit edgy, and I was so sure the patties would fly right after Rachel's 2010 debut. However we have the same goal of bettering (actually bringing back) our sport to its golden status.
